A lo-fi message to the stars
Released on 5 September 2017, this EP marks 40 years since Voyager 1 left the Earth to become the first human-made object to leave our Solar System, carrying a memory of a shiny happy summer's day forever etched in the grooves of the Golden Record.
Having started the project on a beautiful Adriatic island, we recorded what had to be recorded in our studios and then completed the mission on our smartphones and tablets, in empty after hours offices, on crowded public transport and cold park benches, further and further away from home.
Just like the Voyagers.
Many background sounds on this album are our own sound memos, a snapshot of ephemeral life in a moment of time.
Just like the Golden Record.
